We’ve been so busy on the farm this winter. We had our second child at the end of January and there were many many sleepless nights to go along with our new son Levi. It’s honestly so exhausting those first weeks getting adjusted. But honestly, they are so totally worth it. Here’s some pictures of our two children, baby Levi and big brother Riley.
As for the farm, we’ve been starting seed and transplanting since late February things like swiss chard, broccoli, spinach, arugula, radishes, turnips, snow peas, spring onions, lettuce, and lettuce mix. I don’t have any pictures of where we have these in the ground but below is a picture of the tilled field where some of these items are getting ready to be planted. Also, I’ve added a picture of Todd on his tractor.
We hope to be at the farmers market by late April. We’ll see if that happens or not. It will all depend on how well our plants grow and, of course, the weather. We also may bring a few vegetable and/or herb plants to sell as well. We’ll keep you updated as to when and where we will be selling our veggies this year. I’ll definitely post it on the website so keep checking back. Also, if you want an email update once a week when the farmers market season starts for us, please sign up for our e-newsletter on the right hand side of our website. Also, please check out our Facebook page and “Like” us to keep track of what we’re up to here on the farm.
