We went to the farmers market this past Saturday for our usual real food shopping trip. We didn’t buy hardly anything because, frankly, we didn’t have the money to. I bought a pastured chicken (around 4 lb.) and a pack of chicken livers. The only other thing we bought was two cranberry muffins and two cheese danishes from the bakery there. My son loves getting a muffin every time we go to the market so, of course, I always let him get one. Since this is our first year selling at farmers markets we will be taking things slowly. We hope to be at the Belmont Farmers Market on Saturdays starting in May. I don’t know exactly when the Belmont Market will open this year. We also plan to be at the Gastonia Farmers Market during the week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 am until 1 pm starting in June.
